    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    SFC Gerald Ray Valentine, US Army, Retired, Killeen, TX

    The family of Sergeant First Class Gerald Valentine has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral and Interment of their Loved One.

    Gerald joined the military and served over 20 years as an engineer for the US Army, and after retirement worked as an engineer for the civil service.

    FUNERAL SERVICE

    Staging Time: 1100

    Staging Location: St Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church, 1000 East FM 2410, Harker Heights, TX 76548 (http://tinyurl.com/2ej5cm8)

    Briefing: 1110

    Flagline Establishment: 1115 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins, we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery for Interment.

    INTERMENT

    For those Members able to attend only the Interment Portion of this mission, the following is submitted:

    Staging Time: 1305

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, located on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen, TX.

    Briefing: 1310 – Once we are cleared, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await the arrival of the procession.

    WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. West northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

    Notes:

    1. Arrive at the church staging on time and topped off.

    2. Hydrate well the night prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
