    CONFIRMED MISSION
    CSM Patrick Sirois, US Army Retiree, Fort Hood Police Officer, Nolanville Reserve Police Officer
    The family of Command Sergeant Major Patrick R. Sirois had requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One on Wednesday, 1 Dec 10 at 1200 at the Killeen Civic and Conference Center.

    Patrick Roger Sirois, age 50, of Killeen passed away 23 Nov 10 while assisting a motorist on US Highway 69 near Eufala, Oklahoma. Patrick joined the United States Army in 1979 and retired a Command Sergeant Major in May of 2002. After retirement he joined the Department of Defense as a Police Officer on Fort Hood and also served as a Reserve Officer for the City of Nolanville Police Department. In 2009 he was named Officer of the Year by the Nolanville Police Department making him the first Reserve Officer ever to receive this honor.

    Arrival and escort of the Honor Flag http://www.ushonorflag.org/index.html to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, for display in honor of Sergeant Major Sirois' service.
    Date: Tuesday, 30 Nov 10

    Location: Killeen-Ft Hood Regional Airport – Corporate Aviation Parking Lot tinyurl.com/265gk8q. Once you turn into the Airport off 201 (Clear Creek Road), keep going straight instead of veering left to the terminal. You'll see a small building on the left that says "Corporate Aviation." That's where we will stage in preparation to move onto the tarmak where the Transfer Ceremony will take place. We (and our bikes) will be going through TSA Security. NO WEAPONS, not even if you have a concealed carry permit. (Semper Gumby)

    Briefing: Per Killeen Police Department.

    KSU: Per Killeen Police Department.

    WX: Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 58. North northwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

    Notes: The Killeen Police Department will be in charge of this escort and we will follow their instructions. If you have big flags, please bring and display them.

    Part II:
    Funeral Service.
    Date: Wednesday, 1 Dec 10

    Staging Location: Killeen Conference Center side road. SE of the Conference Center building – One section closer to WS Young than where we staged for the Fort Hood Tragedy Memorial Reveal in Nov this year.

    Staging Time: 0945

    Briefing: 1000

    Establishment of FIRST Flagline: 1015

    Establishment of SECOND Flagline: 1115

    WX: Sunny, with a high near 63. South southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph.

    Notes:

    1. The FIRST Flagline will be established in anticipation of Sergeant Major Sirois and his family's arrival from Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. After they are inside the building, we will strike the flagline for a while.

    2. The SECOND Flagline is for the arrival of all who are attending the Funeral Service.

    3. Arrive hydrated, bring water for yourself and a buddy, bring a snack if you wish and dress in accordance with weather conditions.

    Interment at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
    Date: Wednesday, 1 Dec 10

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located on Hwy 195, just south of Killeen, TX.

    Staging Time: 1300

    Briefing: 1305

    As soon as we are cleared, we will move foreward to set up the flags at the Memorial Shelter and await the arrival of Sergeant Major Sirois, his family, friends and coworkers.

    WX: Sunny, with a high near 63. South southwest wind between 5 and 15 mph.

    Return Escort of the family to the Killeen Civic and Conference Center (TENTATIVE).

    Staging Time: After Sergeant Major Sirois' Interment.

    Note: We may be asked to participate in the procession escorting Sergeant Major Sirois' family and friends back to the Killeen Civic and Conference Center for their reception. Please remain flexible.
