CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
AK1 Maltom Lucas, Retired, US Navy, Vietnam VeteranThe Family of Aviation Storekeeper 1 Maltom Lucas has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral and Interment of their Loved One on Monday, 23 Jan 12 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove with interment to follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
He served in the United States Navy until his retirement on August 30, 1974, after retirement he worked as a Civil Servant on Fort Hood. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, the AMA, Cen Tex Road Riders, an original member of the Navy Memorial Foundation,past President of the Waco Coin Club, a member of the Retired Enlisted Association and the Texas Numismatic Association.

Flagline Establishment: 1015 +/- Once the service has begun, we will break down the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession bringing Maltom to his final resting place at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

INTERMENT
For those able to attend only the Interment Service, the following is submitted:
Staging Time: 1205Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery,located on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen, TX.
Briefing: 1215 Once briefed and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will take our stations with flags and await the arrival of of the procession from Copperas Cove.
WX: Partly cloudy and with a low/high of near 46/68. Winds from the SSE 9 MPH.
Notes:
1. Arrive at staging on time and topped off.
2. Please arrive hydrated, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
