May 10, 2013 at 2:48 am #4074markwellsKeymasterRiders,
Checking weather tonight after I got home, i found that there is a 60% chance of rain and/or thunderstorms for Friday, with some possibly becoming severe.
Please check the wx before leaving for this welcome home, and consider your limitations. If necessary, take your rain jacket with you and bring your cage to staging. We can still welcome this young man home without our bikes being there. It's your smiling friendly face he wants to see.
The staging and location are still the same.
We look forward to seeing you there to make the day for our returning hero!Sam
May 11, 2013 at 3:57 pm #4075markwellsKeymasterThanks to a weather break, we had clear blue skies and warm temps to welcome home Jacob from his 6 yr tour in the navy. He did 2 tours at sea, one for 7 months and one for 8.5 months.
He told us that it was really a good sight when they came over the last little rise in the road approaching their place and saw about 30 American flags flying in the breeze. He was smiling all the way up the drive! Thanks to all who attended, and thanks to our hosts for the outstanding BBQ sausage!
We had 4 bikes and 4 cages, and lots of smiles. -
