The following is the Austin area staging for those riders wishing to ride together to CTSVC in Killeen.
Date: Friday, 20 December 2019
Austin staging location: Whataburger, 202 I-35, Georgetown, TX 78628.

10:50 – 11:20 am – Staging
11:20 am – Briefing
11:30 am – KSU for the approximate 35 minute ride to CTSVC in Killeen.Wx: Showers early, becoming a steady rain later in the day. High 48F. 100% rain chance.
Notes: Arrive fully fueled. Upon arrival at the cemetery we will fall under the direction of the Centex ride captain.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________The family of Sergeant James Gregory Johnston has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
James entered the Army on January 16, 2013 in Syracuse NY, and served in South Korea in 2018, and was deployed to Afghanistan in March of 2019. James died June 25th in the Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, as a result of wounds sustained from small arms fire while engaged in combat operations. He was deployed to Afghanistan with the 79th Ordnance Battalion, 71st Ordnance Group, 48th Chemical Brigade.

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

December 21, 2019 at 8:20 pm #5474keithlongacreModerator22 PGR stood the flag line plus several independent riders attending the service. A large contingent of active duty soldiers also attended. An Army Chaplin preformed the service. Afterwards, SSgt Johnson's urn was taken to a ground site for interment.
