Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the procession and committal service for SFC Ron "Pacman" Decker.
PacMan served twenty two years in the US Army, retiring as a Sergeant First Class. He then worked for and retired from the United Postal Service. PacMan was a member of the CenTex Patriot Guard Riders since the early days of the CenTex region and became the Senior Ride Captain for Central Texas until he went on to be with his wife Kat and his other friends that have passed.
His devotion to the Patriot Guard Riders was awesome to behold; he did thousands of missions and put thousands of miles on his blue Goldwing so he could stand the flag line at missions across our region. He was a loved and well respected member of the Texas Patriot Guard Riders family and was involved in many other organizations and events around the area, including the Goldwing Riders – Chapter T group.
This is the Austin area staging for those wishing to ride up together. Details of this Centex mission can be found here: http://www.centexpgr.org/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=8&thread_id=3090

October 5, 2018 at 9:53 pm #5210markwellsKeymasterWe had a dozen riders travel together up to Ron's service. One of them was Bobby Stroka, a past PGR state captain, who rode up from the Houston area.
As expected there was a TON of bikes at the funeral home staging. The last count I heard was 120, but they were still coming in from all points, with significant representation of the clubs and groups in which Ron was active in addition to PGR. Current state captain Steve Conger rode in from East Texas, and Harker Heights PD did a commendable job escorting the very long procession to CTSVC. Almost every vehicle traveling in the opposite direction pulled over out of respect.
It was a warm day; I hope everyone made it home without incident. God speed, Pacman, you are reunited with Kat at last. You will certainly be missed.
