    Confirmed Mission: SHORT NOTICE The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the graveside service for Joe D. Thompson 87, U.S. Navy WWII veteran. Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Thompson served on the U.S.S. Intrepid.

    Date/Time: Saturday, February 1st, 2014, 3:30pm

    Location: Cook Walden Capital Parks, 14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville Tx

    Directions: Funeral chapel is located approx. 1 mile north of Howard Lane off the northbound IH-35 service road. Map Link: tinyurl.com/CookWaldenPflugerville

    Timeline: 
    2:30pm – 3:00pm Staging 
    3:00pm – Mission/ Briefing
    3:10pm – Prepare to Post Flagline

    Wx: Lo – 60, hi – 76 Partly Cloudy (KVUE Wx)

    Notes:   Please arrive on time and hydrate prior to the mission. Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Dress for the weather (check before leaving). This is a graveside service at the cemetery and there will be no procession. A service will be held in Tyler, Tx earlier in the day.

    The family was very appreciative that we were standing in honor of Mr. Thompson. He was a gunner on the U.S.S Intrepid at Pearl Harbor at the start of WWII.
    Military honors were a part of his services in Tyler, Tx.
    There were 24 of us at the grave site. Thank you Bob for bringing the flags.
