    Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the memorial service for James Earl Osborn 63, U.S. Navy, Vietnam veteran. James served in the Navy as a aircraft mechanic and medical corpsman. While assigned to a Marine unit as a medic, he was severly wounded by a land mine. He was given an honorable discharge with the rank of E2.
    James was also a PGR member in the Austin Region and rode to missions until medical reasons slowed him down.

    Date/Time: Saturday, Aug 9rd, 2014 5:00pm

    Location: Osborn residence, 151 Lost Pines Dr, Bastrop Tx

    Directions: We will stage at the Osborn residence. In Bastrop at the intersection of Hwy 71 E and Hwy 95 N, go north on Hwy 95 for approx. 5.1 miles, turn east (right) onto LBA Dr. (Lake Bastrop Acres), turn north (left) at the 3rd street (Lost Pines Dr) and continue to 151. This neighborhood is just south of the Federal Correctional Facility on Hwy 95.

    4:00pm – 4:20pm Staging
    4:20pm – Mission Briefing
    4:30pm – Flag Line

    Wx: Lo – 76 Hi – 98 Sunny (KVUE Wx)

    Notes: Start hydrating the day before and bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Dress for the weather. Recommend sunblock and a hat be worn.
    This will be a flagline at the residence until 5pm, then we will strike the flagline and depart. Jame’s wife advised that we do not need to be quiet when leaving!

    Thanks to Wrangler Bob and the 10 other PGR who attended today's Osborn mission. It was a small ceremony at the family home but our presence made a difference and a real impact on the grieving friends and family.

    Good to see y'all, and thanks for all you do.
