    Confirmed Mission: SHORT NOTICE: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for Gabriel Yanez 93, U.S. Air Force WWII veteran. Gabriel was a mechanic and served in Burma during the war. He retired after 21 years and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant.

    Date/Time: Friday, Aug 8th, 2014 10:00am

    Location: St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf, Austin Tx

    Directions: We will stage at the church. From IH 35 and Oltorf St, go west on Oltorf. After crossing So. Congress Ave, the church will be on the right (north) side of the street in the first block.

    Timeline:
    8:45am – 9:15am Staging
    9:15pm – Mission Briefing
    9:30am – Flag Line

    Wx: Lo – 76 Hi – 99 Sunny (KVUE Wx)

    Notes: Start hydrating the day before and bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Dress for the weather. Recommend sunblock and a hat be worn.
    When the service starts at 10am, we will strike the flag line and move to Assumption Cemetery on So. IH 35 to await the arrival of of the hearse and family.
    We will form another flag line for the graveside service. There will not be a procession.

    The family appreciated our presence at the services. There were seven bikes and one cage at the church plus Bob. There was one additional bike that joined us at the cemetery. Thanks Bob for being the flag wrangler. Most of us were able to be in the shade which helped. The flag line at the cemetery returned to Bob's truck as soon as the service was complete.
