    Confirmed Mission: EXTREMELY SHORT NOTICE
    The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to participate in the interment of Dorothy Dixon 76, U.S. Army veteran. Dorothy entered the Womens Army Corp in 1957 and retired as the first female 1SG for the Ft. Hood Darnell Hospital in Killeen, in 1980.

    Date/Time: Saturday , August 3rd, 2013  3:00pm

    Location: Cook Walden Capital Parks, 14501 N. IH 35, Pflugerville, Tx
    We will stage just inside the main entrance to the cemetery on the right side, in the shade.

    Directions: Funeral chapel is located approx. 1 mile north of Howard Lane off the northbound IH-35 service road. Map Link:

    Timeline: 
    1:45pm – 2:15pm Staging 
    2:15pm – Mission/Safety Briefing
    2:30pm – Flag line (RC discretion – Heat)

    Wx: Partly Cloudy, lo – 77, hi – 102, (KVUE Wx)

    Notes:   Please arrive on time, and hydrate prior to the mission.. Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Dress for the hot weather. Suggest sun block.
    This is a graveside service and flag line only, no procession.

    The crew came through on extremely short notice. Had ten on the flag line. Six were also at the earlier mission for Arthur Bergstrom. Thanks to Mary "Marebear" Gregory and CJ "CeeJ" Foy for coming from Killeen on such short notice. Thanks to Steve "Cannonball" von Roeder for coming from Ride Captain duty earlier to Flag Wrangler for this mission!
