    Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service of Lance Corporal David Benavides 21, Active Duty U.S. Marine Corp. Link to the obituary will be provided when published.

    Date/Time: Thursday, April 3rd, 2014, 10:00am

    Location: St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd, Austin Tx goo.gl/maps/GVDDC

    Directions: We will stage at the church. South bound on Loop 1 (Mopac) from the river bridge, take the exit for William Cannon Dr. Turn right (west) on William Cannon. In about .3 miles turn left (south) on Brush Country Rd. Go south about .5 miles and turn right (west) on Convict Hill Rd. The church will be on the right in about .2 miles.
    If coming from IH35, go west on William Cannon to Brush Country Rd, then follow the instructions above.

    8:45am – 9:15am Staging 
    9:15am – Mission / Safety Briefing
    9:30am – Establish Flag Line

    Wx: Lo -68 , hi – 83 Partly Cloudy/30% Chance of Rain (KVUE Wx)

    Notes:   Please arrive on time with enough fuel to complete the mission. Start hydrating the day before and bring a bottle of water and one for a friend. Suggest sunblock. We will accompany the family and friends in an LEO escorted procession to Assumption Cemetery after the service for military honors.

    Today we had 14 bikes and 1 cage, and one first time rider for the Benavides service. There was a very large number in attendance and many came by to thank us for our commitment to honor this Marine.
    Thanks to all who stood today and made such a good impression. Thanks to Bob for wrangling our flags, and Dick for assisting me with the flag line.
    Hope all made it home safely!
