Confirmed HOTH Mission: EXTREMELY SHORT NOTICE: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the Memorial Day program of a Elementary School in Georgetown, Tx. These students are having school on this holiday to make up for a weather day they used in winter. Here is a small excerpt from the written request by their teacher:
“We have school on Monday and are doing a ceremony in the front of the school at 9:30. I am going to take advantage of this day and try to teach my kids why this day is important. Both my father and grandfather served and this is a great way for me to recognize them. One of the things I am going to talk to my kids about is rolling thunder and what is more awesome and American than bikes riding it with flags. The school is Annie Purl Elementary in Georgetown and the ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:30. I just think this would be something our students would never forget. We are the lowest income school in the district and they don't get to see amazing things like this everyday. Thanks so much for your time.”

Thanks to everyone who came out today. 17 bikes, one cage 19 folks in all. Special thanks to the 'flag detail" well done. The thank you notes from the kids were very special .. it was a great way to spend Memorial Day.

I hope everyone got home safely and before the rain hit.

    Thank you,
