Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and interment services for Mr. Artie Davis Young. Mr. Young enlisted in the military in December 1941 and served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was discharged in 1945 as a Sergeant.

Date/Time: Wednesday, 12 June 2019. Funeral service at 10 am.

Location: Ramsey Funeral Home, 5600 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633. We will stage at the funeral home.

9:20 am – Briefing
9:30 am – Flag line

Wx: High 91 deg. mostly sunny.

Notes: Bring water for yourself and a friend. Following the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and relocate to the Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville to form a flag line for the interment service. A few big flag bikes will stay behind to accompany the family and coach from Ramsey. There will not be a law enforcement escort for the procession.

It was a nice morning for the 8 PGR members that showed up to Honor Artie Young that served in WWII. As is not uncommon the family walked the flag line to thank those that stood the line. The highlight for me was a young man around the age of 8 talked the line and thanked us for our service. I believe he will be a future leader and carry After the service 4 big flag bikes joined the procession to the cemetery where we meet 2 of the patriots that stood the line. We formed a second line for a short and dignified service. God bless the family, those that attended and those you could not.
