Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the memorial service for Mr. Allan Ray Holmes who served in the USMC from 1965 – 1969. He is the recipient of the Bronze Star with combat “V” for heroism during combat, Air Medal – six awards, Vietnam Service Medal, and numerous others.

Completed Mission:
It was a pleasant, slightly humid morning as 5 PGR members stood for Corporal Holmes. Nicki staked flags at the entrance to honor Corporal Holmes and also make the entrance easy for members to find. Several attendees walked the flag line to shake hands and thank us for being there. Members of the highly regarded Hill Country Honor Guard also walked the flag line thanking our members which was an honor for us.

Thanks to all who attended to honor this decorated Marine hero. RIP Corporal Allan Ray Holmes USMC.
