Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the premiere event of this years Field of Honor® in Georgetown. TX. We will escort a mobile 18 wheeler 9/11 exhibit through Georgetown to the Field.
The Rotary Club of Georgetown produces this week long schedule of activities to commemorate Veteran’s Day, honoring veterans and first responders. https://georgetowntxfieldofhonor.org/. This year the Field will feature the 9/11 Never Forget mobile exhibit created by the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. This is an 18 wheeler which transforms into an 1,100 sqft exhibit, providing interactive education, including artifacts such as steel beams from the towers, documentary videos, and recordings of first responder radio transmissions. Tours of this impactful three-room exhibit will be provided by five FDNY volunteers that personally experienced 9/11. The PGR will join the Georgetown PD and FD to escort the truck to its setup location.

Staging Location: City Lights Theatre parking lot, 420 Wolf Ranch Parkway, Georgetown, TX 78628. Parking lot located east side of the theatre building.

8:00 – 8:45 am – Staging
8:45 am – Briefing
9:00 am – KSU at the direction of the Georgetown PD.Wx: 51 degrees at staging time, sunny. High 73 deg
Notes: Fly your big flags! This will be a law enforcement escorted procession (bikes only, no cages) departing from the staging location, heading south on the IH 35 service drive, east on University Ave, north on Austin Ave to the Field of Honor® site. Upon arrival there will be a brief ceremony welcoming the exhibit.

November 5, 2022 at 2:33 pm #6606markwellsKeymasterWe had a great time this morning participating in the escort of this mobile 9/11 exhibit. Georgetown PD led the way, WSCO motors managed the intersections, and 12 PGR preceded the 80 ft truck/trailer to its location next to the Field of Honor, with a GTFD ladder truck bring up the rear.
We especially enjoyed visiting with the four retired NYFD fire fighters who are accompanying this mobile memorial and were on-duty that terrible day.
Thank you to all who attended this morning. The exhibit and Field of Honor run through next Saturday, 12 Nov, so get out to experience this patriotic event.
