ConfirmedMission: The family of SFC Robert M. Kneeland has invited the PGR to participate in his Celebration of Life Service. At the young age of 17 Robert enlisted in the Army on May 2, 1958 and served until 12, April 1961. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served from May 22, 1961 to March 31, 1979. Robert loved the Marine Corp as it gave him structure, purpose, and an opportunity to serve his nation. His overseas deployments included Korea, Okinawa, Japan, Cuba, and Vietnam. Bob was awarded a Bronze Star from the Marine Corp in Jan 1970. He was awarded a Purple Heart from the Marine Corp in July 1970.

    Completed Mission:
6 PGR members attended the mission for this hero, a Bronze Star recipient. As usual, Nicki showed up early and got flags posted at the parking lot entrance. The church and setting were beautiful and the service well attended. The weather was great. The entrance to the church had a covered patio large enough for all flag line participants to be in the shade. Sergeant Kneeland’s sister-in-law, his wife, Linda and friend Luke all made individual efforts to come to our staging area and thank us for being there. Nearly every one who attended acknowledged and showed appreciation for us being there.
Respectfully Submitted, R.S.(Soup) Campbell, Ride Captain.
