John W. Kincaid, 92, US Army veteran, Thorndale, TX, 28 Mar 2026

Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the memorial service for Mr. John Wilson Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture at Texas A&M in 1956 while participating in the Corps in preparation for military service. He served in the US Army as a 1LT where we worked with anti-aircraft artillery and trained rifle and pistol teams. He was also on the national pistol team where he won 1st place in matches.

Date/Time: Saturday, 28 March 2026.  Funeral service begins at noon.

Location: First Baptist Church, 100 Sydney Blvd, Thorndale, TX 76577.  We will stage at the church.  Map link.

A cool, cloudy day in Thorndale for the seven of us honoring the US Army service of 1LT John Kincaid. It was nice to be in a small town again for a mission, the traffic rushing by on Hwy 79 notwithstanding.

We visited briefly with the family and friends who stopped by to speak to us at our staging, and heard thank you from many of the mourners entering the church.

Thank you Gary Mayers for again bringing flags.

RIP, 1LT Kincaid.
