West Fort Hood to Franklin, Texas

FINAL ITINERARY

The family of Scott Burgess has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Recovery of their Loved One from the Robert Gray Army Airfield on Wednesday, 13 Apr 11. Sergeant Burgess died April 4 of wounds suffered from small arms fire in Faryab province Afghanistan.

Date: Wednesday, 13 Apr 11

Staging Location: The parking lot across from Victory Corner, located on the SW side of the intersection of Highway 190 and Clarke Road, just outside the gate to West Fort Hood. (Remember, there is only one driveway and it is located immediately after the frontage road.)

Staging Time: 0900 – PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, Wheels down is 10:00 +/-

Briefing: 10:00

KSU: 10:30 +/-

WX: Sunny, with a high near 85. South wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Notes:

1. We have been asked to participate in the procession bringing SGT Burgess from West Fort Hood to McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin, TX where the East Texas PGR will be waiting with a flagline. The Funeral and Interment will be handled by the East Texas PGR.

2. Arrive topped off. Driving distance is around 100 miles and we do not know if there will be any fuel stops.

3. Bring water for yourself and a buddy; bring a snack or food; dress with consideration for the weather conditions.

4. BE PREPARED FOR CHANGES AS THE FLIGHT MAY BE A LITTLE EARLY OR LATE.
