The Patriot Guard has been invited to participate with the key ceremony for Homes for Our Troops in Marion on 11 Sept 2010. We escorted these three Wounded Warriors back in April to the sites of where their new homes were to be built. The time has finally come to hand the keys over to them.

Homes for Our Troops would like us to be part of their escort again from Marion to Harvest Hills subdivision; there will be LEO escort. Once there, a flag line is planned, but as we saw back in April, the community and volunteers already had a flag line in place before we arrived (with 100+ flags), so this time will be Semper Gumby as well.

I know there are quite a few things going on this weekend, between rides, memorials and the PGR National Gathering, but if you are around and available, please try to attend to ride and honor three of our local Wounded Warriors and welcome them to their new homes. Thank you.

p.s… Homes for Our Troops will be in Spring Branch on 24 Sept 2010 for another Wounded Warrior, details will follow as we get closer to that date.
