Austin – Confirmed Mission: Welcome Home for PFC Khobe Schofield, Monday, Dec 17th, 2012

Confirmed Mission:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to participate in a Welcome Home for their loved one. PFC Khobe Schofield, US Army, will be arriving home after a deployment in Afghanistan.

Date/Time: Monday, December 17th, 2012 5:30pm

Location: Lowes Store parking lot, 1495 US 183 , Leander, Tx 78641

Directions: From Austin going north on US 183, drive to the intersection of US 183 and Crystal Falls in Leander. The Lowes is on the N/W corner…….
or from IH 35 in Round Rock, take toll rd 45 west to toll rd 183A to the Crystal Falls exit. Turn west (left) on Crystal Falls and drive to US 183.

5:00pm – 5:30pm Staging
5:30pm – Mission Briefing
Flag line – Just prior to arrival of family – discretion of Ride Captain

WX: Clear, high – 73 Lo – 48 (KVUE WX)

Notes: We will stage at the S/E corner of the Lowe’s parking lot, in the area of the lawn equipment storage buildings for sale. There is a McDonald’s and Taco Bell on the same lot, and a Valero station on the S/W corner of 183 and Crystal Falls.
Once the family arrives, we will take a few minutes to welcome him. The Ride Captain will have more info at the briefing.
As the family is arriving after dark, consider your night riding skills, weather, and traffic for the ride home. If you are uncomfortable being on a motorcycle at that time, please bring your cage (car) instead. We want everyone to have a safe mission.
