This mission email went to our Big Flag Bike riders as this procession was without LEO escort. We therefore needed to limit the number of riders.

We have not had much mission practice since the beginning of the Corona Virus crisis and this mission was a little unusual on paper giving it the appearance of what might be the ultimate semper gumby. Meeting the procession at a midway point along the route rather than the starting point and being unsure of what to expect at the Centex Cemetery, i.e. wether or not we would be allowed inside the gate under Corona protocol were a couple of issues that were of concern that turned out to be non-issues as the mission proceeded. Six big flag riders showed up which was a perfect number since there was not an LEO escort. We were able to park just inside the gate, dismount and quickly stage to render honors as the hearse passed enroute to the committal shelter. The family expressed heart felt appreciation for our presence which was especially important since they were not able to obtain normral military honors due to Corona Virus restrictions. Thanks to everyone who showed and for your patience as we sorted out the details of the mission. Having the centex riders form a flag line at the gate was a real plus in my opinion. While it may be do to Corona Virus now it would be something to consider for future missions. Good work CENTEX.
