Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and interment services for Mr. Rusty Kohler, Jr. Mr. Kohler served in the US Army from 1968 to 1973, and was an MP in Vietnam. He left the military as a Sergeant.
He was an Austin Police Department officer from 1972 to 1996. After retiring from the APD he joined the Bastrop Sheriffs office as a deputy and served from 1997 to 2009.

Date/Time: Friday, 23 August 2019. Funeral service scheduled for 10 am.
Location: Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. We will stage at the funeral home.

Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This is a flag line only mission. Once the funeral service begins we will relocate to the adjacent gravesite and prepare to stand a second flag line for the interment service.

August 23, 2019 at 11:25 pm #5375WlongacreModeratorThe PGR went to Pflugerville, TX to stand up for Mr. Rusty Kohler. Rusty Kohler served in the US Army from 1968 to 1973 and was an MP in Vietnam. He left the military as a Sergeant. Rusty also served in the Austin Police Dept. After retiring from the APD in 1996 he joined the Bastrop Sheriff office as a deputy and served from 1997 to 2009. We had 14 PGR members in the flag line. Some came in cages however most came on their bikes. The temp was under 100 degrees finally so that was good.
