    SHORT NOTICE –
    Confirmed Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to participate in the funeral service for Roy Leamons Jr, 66 U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran. He achieved the rank of Corporal. Roy also served 35 years with the Houston Police Dept, assigned to patrol and the Aviation section as a helicopter pilot.

    Date/Time: Friday, November 22nd, 2013,  1:00pm

    Location: Smith Funeral Home, 128 E. 5th St, Flatonia, Tx

    Directions: We will stage at the funeral home in Flatonia. From the intersection of Hwy 71 E and Tx 95 in Smithville Tx, go south on Tx 95. In Flatonia, cross IH 10 going south on Tx 95 (now N. Penn St) and drive to E. 5th St. Turn left (east) on E. 5th and church should be about one block on the right. Map Route:

    Timeline: 
    11:45am – 12:15pm Staging 
    12:15pm – Mission Briefing
    12:25pm – Flag Line

    Wx: Lo – 64, hi – 68 Windy with 70% Chance of Rain (KVUE Wx) (Cage if you need to)

    Notes:   Please arrive on time and hydrate prior to the mission.. Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Dress for the weather (check before leaving).
    This would normally be a San Antonio mission (Fayette County), however they have asked us to help since they have other missions scheduled the same day/time. Please try to attend.
    This will be a flag line only before the service at the funeral home.
    Once the service has begun, we will strike the line and depart quietly.

    Had ten brave souls on the flag line including Houston PGR, Austin PGR and riding buddies of the deceased. Thanks to all who braved the weather and distance to attend this Marine veterans service.
