    Confirmed Mission:
    The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to participate in the funeral services of their loved one. Ira Mac “Dickie” Parks 80, served in the Navy and Air Force and is a Korean war veteran. He received the Korean and China Service Medals and left the service with the rank of Seaman.

    Date/Time: Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 2:00pm

    Location: Providence – Jones Funeral Home, 604 Tx Hwy 95, Elgin Tx

    Directions: We will stage at the funeral home. Travelling east on US 290 from Austin, you will come to the first light in Elgin at Hwy 95. Turn north and continue approximately .8 miles and the funeral home is on the west side of Hwy 95.

    12:45pm – 1:15pm Staging
    1:15pm – Mission/Safety Briefing
    1:30pm – Flag Line

    WX: Partly Cloudy, high – 68 Lo – 46, (KVUE WX)

    Notes: Once the service is completed, we will join the LEO escorted procession for the short ride to the Elgin City Cemetery. Please arrive fed, fueled, and hydrated. Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend.

    Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the Patriot Guard's participation in our loved one's services yesterday. It was dignified, beautiful, and touching. We know that Uncle Dickie is so proud of your gift to him. God bless you all.
