CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
SFC Donald G. Ament, 83, US Army, Retired
WWII and Korean War Veteran, Killeen, TXThe family of Sergeant First Class Donald G. Ament, 83, of Killeen has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
He joined the US Army at the age of 15 and served for over twenty years before retiring as a Sergeant First Class in 1967. He served during World War II and the Korean War. Don was not one to talk about his medals and awards. When asked by the family he would say, "Oh I had numerous medals, awards… yada, yada, yada." He always said it was a team effort. He was the past Post Commander of VFW 3892 Harker Heights and Past District 14 Commander of the Texas Veterans of Foreign War and member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter SW Labombard 29.

INTERMENT
For those able to attend only the Interment Service, the following is submitted:
Staging Time: 1105
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme
Briefing: 1110 – Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.

WX: Areas of fog before 10AM. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.
