    CONFIRMED CENTEX MISSION
    CSM Richard Marion James Gossard, 86, US Army Retired
    WWII, Korea and Vietnam Veteran, Killeen, TX

    The family of Command Sergeant Major Gossard has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

    Richard was stationed in Idaho immediately following WWII where he met and married his wife of 67 years, Hazel Pauline Rahricht. His 30-year military career included 3 wars, many campaigns and countless awards. Upon culminating his Army career in 1979, CSM Gossard retired to his Killeen, Texas home in which the family had lived since 1959.

    Flagline Establishment: 0925 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession.

    For those able to attend only the Interment Service, the following is submitted:

    Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)

    Briefing: 1110 – Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.
