Another safe and successful Mission completed today for WW II Veteran John Treuhardt. Once again, we stood together today in appreciation to a Vet and in respects for his family. We made a positive difference to friends and family in their time of immense grief. You all are to be commended for your patriotism and volunteerism.
In attendance were 26 riders, one passenger and 5 cages. We welcomed 4 new Members on their first Mission, and also recognized one Active Duty service member. One new Member rode in from New Braunfels and as what has become normal, CenTex members attended in force. Thank you ALL for coming today, especially on such short notice.
There were 2 Deputy State Captains there today: Robert Stancil of Austin and Mary Gregory of CenTex. Thank you for being there today as well. Your presence means a lot to all of the Members. Both of our region's leadership is beyond reproach.
The weather couldn't have been much better. A gentle breeze waved Old Glory magnificently as we stood at the cemetery. There were many appreciative family members and friends that will take the memory of today with them forever. We ARE making a difference, folks. We done good. I salute each and every one of you.
May 2010 be kind to you and your families. May we see our troops come home safely and victorious. And may demand for the Patriot Guard be minimal.
Respects,
Andy
