Fort Hood Unit Honor Mission
The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested by LTC Hicks, the Commander of North Fort Hood, to welcome returning Soldiers from Main Post after the Memorial Service for their fallen brothers and sisters. These units are temporary guests to the Ft Hood area and suffered great loss during the tragic events of November 5th. They will be brought to the North Fort Hood Chapel where the Texas Military Families Foundation has arranged a Barbeque for them. Also present will be Dave Hall with his Traveling Liberty Bell.

Notes: Please arrive hydrated, topped off and other necessary personal comforts taken care of as there are no facilities at this location. We will leave here for the short ride over to North Ft Hood where we will set up a flagline in anticipation of the arrival of busses carrying the Soldiers back from main post.
We ARE required to adhere to Fort Hood's requirement for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as listed below. This is non-negotiable, so do not ask. PPE will be checked at the PGR staging prior to entering post.
PPE:
* DOT Helmet
* Eye protection. If your helmet is full-faced or you have a face shield that protects your eyes, you do not need to wear additional eye protection
* Long pants
* Boots that extend above the ankles
* Long-sleeve shirt and/or full sleeve jacket. Your arms must be covered at all times while riding.
* Full-fingered gloves
Weather: 77F, no precipitation, wind S at 5-10mph, mostly sunny
Bring water for yourself and one for a brother or sister.
Let us join together to honor this Unit of American Heroes in their time of mourning. These soldiers are training for overseas deployment and many of them were on the ground during the shootings. This is a perfect opportunity for us to honour these soldiers for their brave acts during the tragedy and to offer our support to them.
