We have been invited to attend the send off of 130 soldiers from the Texas National Guard stationed in Taylor, Tx.
Please try to attend this event to show them that we support them and wish them a safe return.

Austin Staging: Texas National Guard Troop Send off
3 October 2009- Taylor, Texas Date: Saturday, 10-03-09

Time: 1200 noon

Location: Parking lot Covert Ford, HWY 79, Hutto, Texas. Just east of town in the north side of the street on Hwy 79.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in a send off for Texas Army National Guard, Alpha Troop A, 1st Squadron, 112th Calvary Regiment (Ghost Riders) deployment. The event will be at Taylor High School this Saturday, 3 October, 2009. Austin area riders will stage at the SE corner of the Covert Ford dealership. Briefing at 12:20 KSU 12:30. We will proceed east on Hwy 79 into Taylor and turn left (north) on to Hwy 95 (We will be flying our flags). We are supposed to have LEO support through town. We will arrive at the High School and establish a flag line. There is supposed to be two ladder trucks flying flags for the departing troops to pass through. Depending on the circumstances; we may accompany the departing busses for a short distance. “ simper Gumby’ as always.
Bring a couple of bottles of water. Weather calls for temperatures to be in the high 70’s.
