SPC Jay Sevier, active duty US Army, died during Special Forces training at Ft. Bragg, NC. His family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to help honor his service and sacrifice for our nation.
This will be a two part mission:
Airport Recovery portion: Complete
Final Itinerary – SPC Jay Sevier, Funeral & Interment
Date/Time: Saturday, 26 September 2009. Service scheduled to begin at 1000 hrs (10:00 am).
Location: Riverbend Church, 4214 North Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360), Austin, TX. We will stage at the church.
Directions: Traveling south on Loop 360 from Hwy 183, the turn in to the church property is on the right approx. 0.5 mi south of the Loop 360 bridge. Proceed down the hill to the parking area near the chapel. Map link: tinyurl.com/yb44d3s

0925 flag line in place in front of large chapel
Wx: Partly cloudy, Lo 68, high 90, less than 10% chance of rain. Bring drinking water and a small non-perishable food ration, as it will be a long day.
Early Flag Line: The family and coach bearing SPC Sevier will arrive at the church at approx. 0845 hrs. Riders who wish to arrive early to stand a flag line for this arrival please be at the church by 0825 (8:25 am)
Procession: At the conclusion of the church service there will be a procession to the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Yoakum, Texas for burial. We will establish a flag line there upon arrival.
This is a 98-100 mile ride, with no stops, on a route to be determined by law enforcement, but likely will be Hwy 183 south almost all the way. Please be fueled and ready to go when you arrive at the church. As always, Semper Gumby.
