Final Itinerary – Bennie Mills, veteran, USAF

The family of SMSgt Bennie Mills has invited the PGR to attend his funeral services. Mr. Mills joined the US Navy during WW II and served in the Pacific theater. He joined the Air Force after WW II, where he spent the rest of his career, including multiple tours in Vietnam.

Date/Time: Wednesday, 2 September 2009. Service scheduled to begin at 1300 hrs (1 pm)

Location: Lockhart Municipal Burial Park, 272 Cemetery St., Lockhart, Texas 78644

Austin Staging: Kreuz Market, 619 N. Colorado, Lockhart, TX 78644

Directions: Kreuz Market BBQ restaurant is on the west side of US 183, 21 miles south of the intersection with Hwy 71. Traveling southbound on US 183 from Austin, Kreuz's is on the right past the first traffic light in Lockhart and BEFORE the bridge. Cemetery is one block away, just across 183. Timeline:
1200-1230 staging at Kreuz
1230 mission and safety briefing
1235 KSU for the short ride over to the cemetery
1245 flag line in place.

Wx: Partly cloudy, high of 99. Come hydrated and bring drinking water. Sunblock is highly recommended.

Notes: There will be no procession from the funeral home, this is a graveside only mission. Flag line in place NLT 1245, but possibly a few minutes earlier. As always, Semper Gumby.
