PFC Anthony M. Nunn, US Army, KIA, Burnet, TX

The family of Private First Class Anthony M. Nunn has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Airport Recovery, Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

Private First Class Anthony M. Nunn, 19, of Burnet, Texas, died May 30, in Paktika province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, KY.

This Mission will span two days. This is the combined Mission Order for both days. PLEASE READ THE NOTES FOR EACH PORTION.

Please join us in honoring this Young Warrior who gave his all that we might enjoy the freedoms we do.

Copperas Cove KSU: 1015 – We will travel west on Hwy 190, then south on 281 in Lampasas.

Burnet Staging Time: 1130

Burnet Staging Location: Burnet Muni Kate Craddock Field, Burnet, TX tinyurl.com/BurnetTXAirport.

Burnet Briefing: 1200

Anticipated Wheels Down: 1230 We will honor PFC Nunn as he is taken from the flight, then escort him and his family to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, after which riders will be released.

WX: Sunny, with a high near 91. South southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Notes:

1. Please hydrate tonight, bring water for yourself and a buddy, bring snacks and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

2. Arrive at stagings ON TIME and topped off. There will be NO scheduled refueling until after we bring PFC Nunn to the Funeral Home.

3. Upon arrival at the Burnet Staging Location all Riders will come under the operational control of the Burnet Ride Captain.

4. All riders are welcome to participate in this mission regardless their affiliation, with the understanding that direction will come from the PGR Ride Captains.

Burnet Staging Location:
The street is located off the west side of 281, just north of the Burnet Airport and across the street from the Galloway-Hammond Recreation Center (Burnet City Pool). There is a traffic light at the T-intersection, turn west between the Gas Station and the Chicken Place. The church is located on the left behind the gas station.

Flagline Establishment: 0930 +/-

Once the Funeral Service begins, we will break down the flagline and standby to escort PFC Nunn to his final resting place in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, TX tinyurl.com/OakHillCemeLampasas.

3. Upon arrival at the Burnet Staging Location all Riders will come under the operational control of the Burnet Ride Captain.
