CONFIRMED MISSION
Master Sergeant & Captain Roger Alton Galyean,
US Army & Harker Heights Police Department, Retired (Both)
The family of Master Sergeant and Captain Roger Alton Galyean has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral and Interment of their Loved One. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 19 Jan 11 at 1230 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Killeen, followed by Interment at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Master Sergeant Galyean retired from the US Army as MSG in 1980. Among the awards he received were the Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Silver Service Star and 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, German Marksman Medal in Bronze; and the Meritorious Service Medal. After retirement from the military, he worked for Harker Heights Police Department and retired as a Captain. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #9192, the American Legion, and Masonic Lodge #1125.

1. Once the Funeral Serice has begun, we will break down the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
2. Arrive hydrated, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress in accordance with the weather conditions.
3. Be flexible! This funeral will involve many Law Enforcement Officers from the area and plans may change at a moment's notice.
CEMETERY PORTION
For those able to participate in the cemetery portion, the following is posted:
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk-of-Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery, located on Hwy 195 just south of Killeen, TX.

Briefing: 1310
Upon clearance, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await the arrival of Master Sergeant Galyean, his family, friends and coworkers.
WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. East wind 5 to 15 mph becoming south. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
